Lore:
In the mountain region of Dione, every few years, a deadly blizzard known as Ymir sweeps through, killing many and proving nearly impossible to predict.
Four years after the last Ymir, a suspected serial killer, responsible for seven murders, is believed to have fled to Dione. Shortly after, a 9-year-old girl goes missing, later spotted with the killer. Two weeks later, he murders an elderly woman in Sigel Castle and flees toward Mount Snow. The police prepare for a search but are delayed by bad weather. When they finally search the mountain, they find nothing.
Carl, a police assistant, learns of Bluepeak Town’s belief that Ymir is divine wrath and discovers a 35-year-old murder tied to a deity statue. Meanwhile, Raymond, a meteorologist studying Ymir, finds strange magnetic fields at Andvari Mines. When he tries to collect samples, the workers stop him. A few days later, Carl and Raymond hike into the mountains, where Raymond falls to his death. In a desperate choice, Carl cuts the rope to save himself. Wracked with guilt, Carl investigates the mines, uncovering unsettling secrets. Sheriff Peter warns him to stay away, and Carl eventually leaves Dione.
A year later, the Andvari Mine collapses, killing two and injuring 27 people. George, a cleanup worker, sees Peter hiding something and grows suspicious. Peter cryptically asks him, “Are all the residents in the central region murderers?” When George denies it, Peter replies, “You get it, why doesn’t Carl?”
Months later, the Ymir cold front arrives earlier and stronger than expected. A blizzard delays the evacuation, but most are safely transported. The sheriff stays behind to assist the remaining tourists.
A final rescue helicopter arrives, but with only four seats, and over 60 tourists remain, fighting for survival.
You are one of them.
